#NaNoWriMo 2014 - Before it all starts!

Happy Friday!

It's almost here! The NaNoWriMo starts tomorrow and I am all excited about it!

I am going to participate again. I will do my best to write 50.000 words during 30 days. I am taking this because it gives a good exercise what it means to write when you have a deadline. It forces you write no matter what mood you are in, if you are inspired or not. You just write. Simple as that, right? Wrong! It actually takes a lot of time and when the time is limited due to daily job, family, kid etc, then it's not as easy as it sounds. I know from my own experience.

It's my fourth year to participate. 2012 has so far been the best year, because I wrote 43.111 words that year. I would love to reach the goal this year. I actually want to write 50.000 words.

I do have an idea for a plot as well. For me, the plot ideas come easily. Ideas come and go, but it's the sitting-down-and-actually-writing what is the challenge. It's the planning and writing which always demand a lot. It's also the thing which I admire a lot about authors. That is what makes a difference.

Anyway, I have a plan to give you updates about how the NaNoWriMo fares and how I progress on my writing. The title of my writing is Three Days. It takes place on different locations in the world and it involves a woman and a man who are struggling with their past and trying to build a relationship. They only have three days. I haven't wrote a blurb yet, but I will.

Wish me luck!
