Summary:

Running through a strange forest with a bloodthirsty demon hot on her heels wasn’t Taylor’s idea of a rockin’ evening. Then again, neither was soaring backward through time and space. Time travel chafed and left a rank, nasty aftertaste. So, when she finds herself floundering amidst a sea of Commandment-loving holy rollers who fling accusations of witchcraft and bedevilment like hotcakes in a diner, finding her way home jumps to the top of her to do list. Too bad she can’t remember who she is or where she came from. And if that wasn’t bad enough, Taylor has to fall for the mysterious Latin warlock living on the edge of Salem Village and who comes to her rescue, Gabriel Castillo.

Battling an identity crisis and lost in a time that’s not her own, Taylor is determined to find her way back to twenty-first century Hanaford Park. But first, she and Gabriel must work together to uncover the dark scourge lurking in Salem's shadows, and in doing so, save their own lives, and the lives of countless innocents from a lethal date with the hangman’s noose.

My review:

I have read and enjoyed all books written by Lisa Sanchez and Faythe Reclaimed was no exception to that! It was well-written, the plot was interesting and characters hot and lovable!

Regarding the plot:

You meet both Taylor and Gabriel in the previous books in the Hanaford Park Series, but Faythe Reclaimed is book dedicated to their story. You can read it as stand alone, but then you would miss all the fun of the other books in the series!

Taylor finds herself in a foreign time and place and is confused about where she is and why. People act strangely and talk like several hundreds of years ago. She finds herself in Salem in the midst of witch hunting!

At the same time there is a parallel story where Gabriel realizes that Taylor has been sent back in time where he lost his first love. He is afraid, that this time he is not capable of saving Taylor. By using his warlock powers he sends himself close to Taylor, but not close enough to come out of it unpunished.

I loved the way the story was built, you have parallel universe and time travelling in the same book! This creates a lot of situation comics with Taylor which is funny, so there is lot of good humor in this book, too! I laughed out loud many many times, because the contemporary Taylor is definitely not very suitable to the time settings with her language and with her way of being.

I had difficulties in the beginning to understand who is the Traveller, but when continued reading, it became clear to me quite quickly. Lisa managed to confuse me and create "the-ahhaa-moment" which I admired.

The story of Taylor and Gabriel is hot and sizzling and they both meet a lot of challenges to get back from where they started. Gabriel from the past does not exactly know who Taylor is and Taylor does not remember Gabriel, even though she knows he seems familiar.

The plot was fabulous! It had twists and turns and it was different. I loved it!

Regarding the characters:

I think Lisa did an excellent job both with Taylor and Gabriel. Taylor was quirky, witty and definitely not very suitable to the tie of Salem Witches! Gabriel has been so far my favorite of Lisa's male characters. Gorgeous, smart, manly and warm-hearted -  a man of my taste!

I also enjoyed the Traveller. I felt his pain seeing Taylor, but not being able to do much about it. He was a fighter and survivor and willing to walk many extra miles for his love.

There were also many supportive characters who offered their stories to build on the main story line. It made the reading very enjoyable.

Generally:

I would highly recommend Faythe Reclaimed by Lisa Sanchez! It's easy to read, has fascinating plot and interesting characters! Must-have-book for lovers of paranormal romance!

5 Flowers!
5 stars.

Thanks goes to Sizzling PR and to Lisa for providing me with the review book!
