Behind the Screen (17)

Happy Thursday!

Finally I back at writing my favorite weekly post which I haven't been writing since February.  let's see what has happened behind the screen!

While reading:

I have to admit, that two weeks after the surgery I haven't been reading as much as I do usually, but now I am back on track again. I have to say, that there has been lot of laughter and giggling from my side while reading, especially when I read Lisa Sanchez' Faythe Reclaimed, it had lot of humorous situations in it and was partially hilarious. The review will be up in May. At the moment I am reading 2 books at the time and I enjoy it, because these two books are from very different genres. I have finished reading 3 books this week already, out of which I will review 2 I think.

While blogging:

I have been doing quite a lot with my blog this week: I have updated my blog tour page and also giveaway page.

The next which I will clean up is the review policy, I will implement few changes there. The main message which will go up there is, that I will not be accepting new review copies until the end of July, I am fully booked and have lots of book to review before I can take any new obligations. There is one exception though and that goes to the authors and publishers I have been working with already. So if we have had contact previously and you or your books have been featured here in Me and Reading, then I will do my best to help you out.

I also got two very nice offers, one came from Megg Jensen, the author of The swarm Trilogy and Cloud Prophet Trilogy. I will be reviewing Afterlife, the second book in The Swarm Trilogy and make an interview with her.

The second interesting offer came from Harlequin to review Aimeé Carter's Goddess Interrupted, which is a second book in her Goddess Test series. Besides review I will be organizing a giveaway of the book and also post Q & A with the author.

I have also sent 13 books out from The Book Depository for several winners of different giveaways and besides that mailed 22 books from Spring Cleaning giveaway to 5 countries - each of them in different parts of the world.

Besides that there has been lot of correspondence with authors, other bloggers, tour organizers. I am also glad, that I am finally taking time again to my weekly posts and memes, haven't been doing that for a while.

Technicalities:

I have decided to start using Rafflecopter for giveaways and each time the new giveaway is coming up, I don't have time to learn Rafflecopter and I am back at google docs. I have promised to myself that the next bigger giveaway hop which starts on the 1st of May, I will be using Rafflecopter. I have heard, that it is very easy to use and I am sure that I will learn the usage of Rafflecopter. I have used the embedded codes previously, but never had my own Rafflecopter giveaway. In May I will!
