News - New blog design by Parajunkee Design

As you can see, I have new blog design! I feel like a kid on the Christmas Eve!! I am very happy about it and I love the design.

My blog was designed by Rachel from Parajunkee's View and Parajunkee Design. I couldn't have a better person doing it, she knows a lot about blogging and what a blogger needs and she definitely also knows how to design. I wanted to have a design which was not very genre specific, because I am eclectic reader; I did not want too much flower-power and asked for pastel colors; it had to do something with books and reading and little urban fantasy taste to go with it. I think these were my original wishes.

Rachel helped me with questions to create an image what it is that I need and the result is fabulous! The result mirrors exactly what we talked about.

First the header - I like the image, there are lots of books, a woman reading, different buildings (out of which one looks like a castle and the other like a more modern building). I absolutely LOVE the font which Rachel was using for my blog name! It's beautiful and fancifully round and soft and flying. The red color used was right on spot! I also loved that it was designed without capital letters. It's just sweet. I even liked the bricks in the background. All these small things and images create a unique wholeness where colors are fitting with images and vice verse. I am very satisfied with it.

Now, there are other things which will catch your eye from now on, Rachel created me also pics for my post series. Let me show you:

I have a dream post series  - it's where I am describing what my dream is with reading and blogging. Here is what Rachel created:

This was an image which left me speechless for couple of seconds. This image makes me WANT to dream and not only that, it also makes me WANT to fulfill my dreams!

The next image I asked was for Wednesday Wonderings post - series which include either guest posts or my own rambling thoughts about reading, books, news I am reading about books etc. And the image I got was that:

Beautiful, right?

Then for Meet and Greet posts where I am introducing authors she created this:

Last, but not least, I asked for images for giveaways, author interviews, reviews and winners. Here they are:

After I received all the images, I was stunned. Because these 4 pictures again create a wholeness, matching with the main theme and with the post series images.

I was glad to see, the the post part was moved to left side and all the other gadgets, widgets, labels, blog buttons were moved to the right side. It creates a more clear environment. Of course now I have some work to do to sort out the "extras" on the right side, and this will take me couple of days.

Besides all the above, Rachel made a signature for me and also a rating thingies, but you will have to come again in order to see that!

Rachel also changed the fonts in the post titles and made them more suitable and fitting to the rest of the theme. She thought about all the big and small things a blogger would appreciate.

Rachel was very helpful and patient with me. Some of you might have read in my Behind the Screen posts, that I am still not very big friend with HTML. What Rachel did, was a simple and colorful explanation: red means that, blue means that. Easy peasy! I need to start reading and watching some tutorials about HTML :)

Generally, I am very grateful for Rachel and Parajunkee Design. She did an excellent work and has one extra extremely satisfied client. If that would be a review, she would definitely get following:

5 stars out of 5!

So if you need design for something, she would be your perfect choice! I know that she has probably her hands filled with work, but still, I would highly recommend Parajunkee Design. Even for book covers - she would be perfect!
