Follow Friday (13)

Happy Friday, everybody!

Time to do some love sharing!

I'm participating in two Follow Friday Blog Hops.

The first one is hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read. Both of them are featuring new blogs. Blogs which are featured this week are: Bonnie from Hands and Home and Amber from Me, My Shelf And I. Feel free and visit their blogs and follow them!

Question of the week: Talk about the book that most changed or influenced your life (was it a book that turned you from an average to avid reader, did it help you deal with a particularly difficult situation, does it bring you comfort every time you read it?).

My answer: My answer will probably surprise many of my readers. Even though I am not a very deeply religious person, my answer would be Bible. It has nothing to do with me being an avid reader, that I was anyway before I even got a chance to read Bible. Bible was a forbidden book until I was approximately 18 years old and until the regime changed. Then Bible was one of the first books I got. I have read it, first time from page 1 until the end. After that I have read my favorite books in the Bible several times. The reason why I chose Bible is, that when I had my first serious heartbreak, following accident happened - with Bible.
I was cleaning my home, and was very sad. I was trying to get rid of the dust from my books and book shelves, when Bible simply fell down to my head. It hurt, because it bumped to my head with the corner. When I reached down to get the Bible, it was open in a very fascinating place. I sat down and started reading from the place it was opened. Guess what it was that I read?! Solomon's love songs :) At the moment it felt like the Bible was trying to tell me something. And it did.
Now my Bible is not that far and high up in my shelves, so it cannot "attack" me anymore, but I open it occasionally in a random place to read.

Now to the second hop I'm participating. It is usually hosted by Jennifer at Crazy-For-Books.

Book Blogger Hop

Question of the week: What is the one ARC you would love to get your hands on right now?

My answer: Next Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stakchouse book, because I would like to know what will happen with Eric and Sookie!

Happy hopping!
